I received an insurance settlement. I am on S.S.I. benefits I received a 1099 for $105 Do I need to file?

muggs asked: I feared that a May lose my benefits so I gifted my settlement to a Sister. I need my Medicaid as I am very ill. Shouldn't the Sister received the 1099 and will she owe a tax for receiving my gift to her?LELAND
